C6/C7 ASIA-A Complete Spinal Cord Injury

Laura has an ASIA-A complete spinal cord injury at the C6/C7 level, meaning she has paralysis below the location of the injury. After her injury, she had been experiencing DVT blood clots, foot drop, and muscle atrophy from lack of movement. She knew that an increase in therapeutic exercise could help ease her symptoms and help her reach her rehabilitation goals. 

To help aid her recovery and improve her health, she reached out to the MYOLYN team. We helped set her up with her own MyoCycle Home so that she could be active from the comfort of her home with her husband and cat. With the help of FES cycling, Laura had a DVT in her calf completely disappear after regularly using her MyoCycle and is now seeing reduced foot drop in her right ankle. 

I feel so relieved that my increased movement in my legs will help me get off my blood thinning medication as I now have less risk for clots. 

Laura was excited to realize how easy it was to set up her MyoCycle. Initially, she had some concerns that the setup would be a complicated process. However, after her MyoCycle was ready to go and she was able to begin exercising, she found that the process was quick, easy, and intuitive.
