Keep in mind that you can combine several different types of resources at the same time. For example, if you finance or pay for your MyoCycle out of pocket, you can still apply to grants, do fundraising, and/or try for insurance coverage, (if available with your plan), and if those avenues are successful, you will receive a reimbursement for the amount they pay. You can also combine several grant requests. The benefit of doing a multi-layer approach is to find a way to get your MyoCycle as quickly as possible so you can start experiencing all the great therapeutic benefits.
Don’t get discouraged if you do not see grants specifically for your state or geographic area. There are many that are for the entire country and open to all applicants.

- Dedicated to providing financial support to those connected with the construction trades industry (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, roofing etc.) who are living with life altering injuries. Assistance provided is designed to pay for the provision of material (i.e. Durable medical equipment, etc.).
- The purpose of the Road to Recovery (R2R) program is to provide qualifying recipients with block grants for therapy and/or equipment or resources as well as dedicated mentoring supporting individuals with SCI. The grant and mentoring services are designed to enable individuals to continue to pursue their recovery, specifically, those who have received or experienced minimal amounts of therapy following discharge from their rehab.

The Patric Young Foundation SCI Financial Aid Fund
- In partnership with the Patric Young Foundation, The Patric Young SCI Financial Aid Fund offers a one-time $1,000 grant to eligible patients residing in Jacksonville or Gainesville Florida that have experienced a life-altering spinal cord injury. The fund helps offset the out-of-pocket expenses associated with transportation, housing, utilities, nutritional needs, home adaptations and adaptive devices not covered by insurance related to their injury, ongoing therapy, and treatment needs.

Financing
Financing options allow people to purchase a MyoCycle and pay it off over time. The simplest financing option is a credit card and many people have been able to take advantage of the zero percent interest credit cards that are available. There are also dedicated financing options for people with disabilities who need medical equipment like the MyoCycle, called assistive technology loans. Assistive technology loans are low-interest loans provided by state and national programs for individuals with disabilities to purchase assistive technology like the MyoCycle. Insurance
The MyoCycle may be covered by insurance companies on a case-by-case basis. Your payer, your plan, and even your medical history all affects the coverage decision. Not all insurance companies will allow submission for equipment like the MyoCycle, but if yours does, there are two paths towards coverage of the MyoCycle: prior authorization and direct reimbursement.
Prior authorization means we ask your insurance company if the MyoCycle will be covered before you get it. Because prior authorization and subsequent billing can take up to 1 year to complete, many customers choose to purchase their MyoCycle upfront, out-of-pocket (using any funding method), so they can use it during that time instead of waiting. Customers who purchase out-of-pocket can go straight to the direct reimbursement path and if successful, will receive reimbursement for the amount insurance pays.
MYOLYN has partnered with multiple VA Hospitals across the country to bring the MyoCycle into the homes of numerous veterans. We are happy to work with you and your VA to see if the MyoCycle will be covered under your current VA benefit plan. To qualify for this program, you need to receive your medical care from a Veteran’s Medical facility.
